A COLORADO POST WEDDING MOUNTAIN SESSION AT GUANELLA PASS

When Michael reached out to me about doing a spot wedding shoot in the mountains for him and Gretchen, I was so excited!! They got married in Denver, so they wanted to do a shoot in their wedding attire after the wedding in an epic mountain location. Guanella Pass in Georgetown is one of my favorite spots for elopements, engagement sessions, and intimate weddings, so I knew it would be a perfect spot to take them. We had so much fun running around Guanella Pass and checking out a bunch of different spots. It was super secluded and we pretty much had the whole mountain to ourselves!

I love when couples do sessions after their wedding in their wedding attire because.. why not?! It’s always so much fun to play dress up and get those epic mountain photos you may have missed on your wedding day. Plus, your wedding dress is way to expensive to wear only once anyways. ;) Another reason I love “day after” sessions/post wedding shoots is that it takes the pressure off the actual wedding day to get all the portraits you want. Besides your wedding day, how often do you have 100 of your closest friends and family members all together to celebrate YOU? (Hint - NEVER!) A day after session kind of gives you that piece of mind on your wedding day so you can soak in every moment you can of the day celebrating with your people, knowing you’ll get more awesome portraits in your wedding attire soon! And you won’t be worried about getting your dress a little dirty. ;)

If you’re planning a wedding or elopement in Colorado or anywhere else, reach out!!! I’d love to tag along on your adventure.

”We hired Alyssa to do a post-wedding shoot in the mountains and could not be more thrilled with the results. She took the time to listen and understand what we were hoping to capture, proposed beautiful locations, and gave just the right amount of direction to let our personalities shine through. We are both so pleased with the photos we received!” - Gretchen
