A MAROON BELLS TRAIL AND CRATER LAKE ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN ASPEN, COLORADO

Emily and Evan’s sunrise adventure engagement session at Maroon Bells and Crater Lake in Aspen, Colorado was stunning and such a blast! Emily and Evan got married in Aspen, Colorado at Lynn Britt Cabin and had an intimate elopement with their closest friends and family. They wanted to do a more casual adventure session the day before the actual wedding. I love when couples add on an adventure session the day before or after their wedding because it’s such an amazing time to have together as a couple and also get more amazing photos in the mountains!

We woke up in the middle of the night and hiked in the dark up to Crater Lake in time to catch the sunrise. It was amazing! Thee Maroon Bells are absolutely stunning at sunrise, so it is always my favorite time of day to go - even though it means no sleep. Even though Emily and Evan were here from out of state - they were up for whatever and totally trusted me when I told them we need a 3am wake up call and to hike in the dark lol! I love it when couples are up for anything and just along for the adventure. We spent the morning hiking around the Maroon Bells, and ended with a nice brunch and mimosas.
