Kayla Hughes and JJ Lane’s Downtown Denver, Colorado urban engagement session was such a dream!! We woke up super early to get downtown and have the city to ourselves without the crowds! It was so so magical. We had just the right amount of moody clouds and I am still obessing over Kayla’s dress!! Umm and did I mention her freaking gorgeous engagement ring from New World Diamonds?? So so obsessed!!

We started the morning off at the coolest rooftop that has GORGEOUS views of the Denver Skyline! From there we headed over to Larimer Square which was so fun and so nice to have the place to ourselves! After we finished taking photos at Larimer Square - we headed to Hotel Teatro to finish the morning cozied up with some coffee and mimosas. It was seriously the best! I am always shooting in the mountains in Colorado and a lot of people always ask me if I ever shoot engagement photos or weddings in Denver and the answer is umm… YES!! I love shooting in the mountains but I also LOVE shooting in Denver and the more urban/editorial vibe it gives! Whether you want your photos on top of a mountain or on top of a rooftop overlooking the Denver Skyline - I’m always up for it!

It was so fun getting to hang with these two and get to know them! Kayla and JJ are two of the sweetest people ever and I am so grateful to get to be a part of this time of their lives! I absolutely CANNOT wait for their wedding at Ironworks in Downtown Denver this winter!
