A TRAIL RIDGE ROAD ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
Courtney and Matt’s adventure engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park on Trail Ridge Road this past summer was such a blast! Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park is one of my favorite places in Colorado (and basically the whole world!) for engagement sessions and photos for elopements and intimate weddings! It is only open a limited number of days every year, so I try to make it there as much as I possibly can in the summer! It has some of the best views in Colorado and is absolutely stunning! Being at such high altitude the weather can definitely be super crazy up there - which is definitely something we experienced this day lol!
On the day of their engagement session, the weather forecast was looking super questionable but decided to chance it anyways! It was pouring rain and so windy the whole drive up we even considered turning around and rescheduling! But we figured we already made it that far so we might as well try - and I was SO glad we risked it! We had the most epic weather I have ever seen that night. From low clouds, to heavy fog, and even sun! It was so gorgeous and made their whole session so amazing. I love when my couples are so laid back and are just up for anything!
I had the best time ever getting to know Courtney and Matt and spending the evening with them!! They are two of the sweetest, most fun, down to earth people ever and I am so beyond grateful to get to be a part of this time in their lives! I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding in Vail at Donovan Pavilion next summer!
