A GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO SKIING ELOPEMENT AT SUNLIGHT MOUNTAIN RESORT

Brynn and Brandon’s skiing elopement at Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs, Colorado was one I will always cherish and remember. Being an elopement and wedding photographer in Colorado I am always getting to hike and explore new places, but it isn’t often that I get to photograph a wedding while on skis! It was so much fun and so special to be a part of.

When my friend Steve at Foster Creative first reached out to me about photographing Brynn’s elopement while he filmed it, I was SO excited. After speaking more with Brynn about her vision and told me that she wanted to elope on a ski mountain and spend the afternoon skiing/snowboarding with her new husband, it sounded like the perfect day. Brynn and Brandon wanted a wedding day with no frills, something intimate and low key, fun, memorable, and a day that just felt like them.

We decided on Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs because it is a local mountain that is much less crowded and touristy than many of the other resorts. We started the day pregaming in the parking lot before getting dressed and taking the lift up the mountain. Once we made it to the top, Brynn skied down the aisle in her dress and we had their ceremony (followed by a champagne toast) - just the two of them, their officiant, and a bunch of local skiers who decided to join! It was such a blast.

After the ceremony we spent the afternoon skiing/snowboarding around the resort and finished with a first dance and cake cutting back at the ski lodge. It was such a blast! Before finishing the day, we went to a secret spot up the road for some more portraits of them. It was magical! I absolutely love that Brynn and Brandon decided to have a day that was all about them and exactly what they wanted.
