AN IRELAND DESTINATION WEDDING

Whitney and Braden’s destination wedding in County Clare, Ireland was a DREAM and I will forever be so grateful for this day. They started the day getting ready in the cutest little Irish AirBnb, followed by the most beautiful ceremony at Newtown Castle, photos the Cliff of Mother, and ended the day with an Irish folk band and lots of dancing at Vaughan's Pub. Like what?! Literally a castle wedding ceremony, photos on the cliffs, and an Irish pub ceremony…. talk about a dream day!!!

Whitney’s dream as a little girl was always to get married in Ireland, so when her and Braden got engaged they thought, why not?! When she emailed me about coming along to photograph it I literally screamed and jumped up and down. I knew right away from her emails that we would be great friends and was so so excited to come along!! It was so special to be a part of their day and to watch their dream wedding come true.

Whitney wore a blue dress by total chance because she loved it - and come to find out, it is traditional for brides in Ireland to wear blue dresses. Isn’t that crazy?! I literally got goosebumps when she told me that. Every little detail of their day was so perfect, and things could not have went any more smoothly. Their ceremony at Newtown Castle was BEAUTIFUL and it was SUNNY! Crazy - they said it was one of the only weddings there that ever got to be outside with no rain. After the ceremony, we spent the afternoon hiking and dancing around the cliffs which was so much fun!! We ended their day at the cutest little Irish pub and they had the most fun night filled with dancing, laughs, and love. They were even surprised at their reception by getting to pour their own Guinness behind the bar and by getting an Irish folk dancing lesson!

These two and all of their friends and family were seriously such a dream to work with. Their entire family made me feel like I was there as a wedding guest, not their photographer. I feel so dang lucky that this is my job and I am blessed with the most amazing, down to earth clients.
