A COLORADO ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT GUANELLA PASS

This engagement session with Kateri and Paul was everything you’d want in a Colorado fall shoot!! Warm autumn tones, a little adventure, and a whole lot of love.

From the moment we started hiking, Apollo, their golden retriever, stole the show. With his contagious energy and love for the outdoors, he made sure we all kept moving, pausing only to give his humans sweet moments of affection.

There’s something undeniably magical about Guanella Pass in the fall. With golden aspens stretching as far as the eye can see and crisp mountain air that makes everything feel a little more alive, it’s the perfect backdrop for an engagement session. Add in a couple madly in love and their playful golden retriever, and you’ve got a recipe for pure photo perfection.

We explored the trails, stopping at overlooks where the mountains seemed to stretch on forever. The way the sun filtered through the changing leaves gave everything a golden glow, making each shot feel timeless. Kateri and Paul were such a blast to work with and I felt incredibly lucky to capture their story.

As the sun dipped lower, we found the perfect spot to pop a bottle of champagne. The cork flew, bubbles spilled, and laughter echoed through the valley. You could feel the excitement from a mile away! It was the perfect way to celebrate not just their engagement, but the beginning of a lifetime of adventure together.

To top all of this off, I am photographing Kateri and Paul’s wedding this July! I am so excited to be a part of their journey every step of the way.
