A COLORADO ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT THE GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL PARK

Kasey and Emily’s engagement session at The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Southern Colorado this spring was such a blast!! I had been dying to shoot an engagement session or elopement at The Great Sand Dunes for awhile, so when they suggested this spot for their session I was so excited! It’s a little bit of a trek from Denver to get there - but it is so worth it!

The Great Sand Dunes National Park is this incredible place down in Southern Colorado that is seriously one of my favorite places ever. Just when you think if Colorado can really get any cooler - there’s this! It’s basically these HUGE Sand Dunes in the middle of all these mountains and you just think - is this Mars?! Like how does this even happen?!

Kasey and Emily have been going here for vacations for a few years and it is a place super special to them - so it was really fun to get to document their engagement session in a place that was meaningful to them! We had such a blast spending the night running around the dunes and playing in the sand - and their photos turned out AMAZING!! I had the best time getting to know them and am so happy they shared this place with me. I absolutely CANNOT wait for their wedding in April!!

If you are looking for a place in Colorado for an elopement, engagement session, or intimate wedding - I HIGHLY recommend checking out The Great Sand Dunes National Park!! It is so gorgeous and unique! You get the mountains of Colorado but the Sand Dunes too which is so cool.
