A OURAY, COLORADO ELOPEMENT
Out of all of the places to elope or get married in Colorado (or anywhere really) - it’s pretty hard to beat Ouray. Western Colorado and the San Juan Mountains have such a special place in my heart, and there is nothing that I love more than helping people experience their dream wedding day or elopement out here! It is the most untouched, stunning, scenic place ever with no shortage of views, hikes, or awesome things to experience.
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast and looking for a stunning place in Colorado to elope or have a small, non traditional wedding (or even just visiting Colorado on vacation!!) - I would highly recommend adding the western slope and San Juan Mountains to your bucket list!
Planning an elopement or intimate wedding in Ouray, Colorado can be a little overwhelming because there aren’t as many popular places and a lot more spots you have to be in “the know”. It’s so important to find a photographer (like me!) who knows the area well!
When Margaret and Daniel reached out about wanting to elope in Ouray, I was so excited to help them plan something amazing! Not only did they plan the whole thing around my availability, but they were so go with the flow and just trusted me on location and everything else! On the day of, we went to one of my favorite lookout points close to town and after they shared their vows we spent the evening hiking around and enjoying the scenery. They even finished the night of popping champagne and with a little picnic! These two love to camp and being outdoors, and I don’t think there could have been any more perfect way for them to tie the knot.
